We Must-Ang-Out: The New Ford That Keeps On Giving

The Ford Mustang is one of the rare car models that achieves the status of “iconic.” Used numerous times in films, music videos and just about anywhere with pretty girls, the Mustang is the ultimate car.

But Ford have done the unimaginable, by making the ultimate car even better! With a little splash of creativity and a whole lot of turbo power there, the 2016 Mustang is any car-lover’s dream.

So, what’s new?

Well, visually, subtle changes have enhanced a dramatic effect, with racing stripes accentuated by a painted black roof. If James Dean drove a car, he would be driving the 2016  Ford Mustang, no doubt about it.

Ford also offer a range of additional features that can be added to modify this beast. From wheel trims to spoilers, there is a seemingly endless range of customisable options to make owning a Ford more a pursuit of passion than  mere “addition to the family driveway”.

Boasting 300 horsepower and a colossal 3.7 litre turbocharged diesel engine, the Mustang is sure to make easy work of your morning commute. For a car of such ferocious speed, it’s wonderful to say that the Mustang handles like a dream, too.

With silky-smooth shifts from a 6-speed transmission, coupled with the benefit of rear wheel drive, both the traction and turning of this car are close to perfection.

Snowy weather can pose a problem, as the acceleration lightning-quick, so that’s perhaps an area that Ford could explore for their next edition.

Naturally equipped with all the basic safety requirements (air bags, anti-lock brakes, etc), the 2016 Mustang is as safe as any competitor to drive. Built with a frame sturdy than most, and a large crumple zone, it is appropriately tailored to meet needs in the unfortunate event of a collision.

For a small price, you can also have keyless entry and the option of setting a maximum speed limit of anything up to 80mph (perfect for if you are teaching anybody how to drive).

This is an area where the 2016 model really shines compared to previous models. Along with air conditioning, cruise control, and an in-built navigational system, there are additional options to help you really make this a dream to drive.

How about a Sync-3 multimedia system, to really blast out the tunes on that morning school-run (not that the kids will thank you for it!). In the cold, harsh months of winter, why not relax in the car park in the comfort of the Ford Mustang’s heated front seats (they are also ventilated in summer).

The 2016 Ford Mustang is a rare breed of car; it seamlessly integrates design, performance and safety, and does so for a very affordable price. Used cars sometimes get bad press, but good dealers may be worth an exploration, as the sheer power of this model can be enough to put off some drivers without anything being necessarily wrong with the car (is there such thing as too much heaven?).

Without any add-ons at all, the  2016 Ford Mustang is already the epitome of car perfection. Practical, safe and luxurious, the Mustang once again maintains its status as “the iconic car.”
