You might think that your car’s keyless lock system or Apple carPlay feature is pretty impressive, but in just three short years, the tech that the average car features could leave your motor looking…well a little behind the times to say the least. Autonomous Driving

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you can’t have failed to have heard of driverless vehicles. Uber, Google and many other companies are working on perfecting the tech that will allow us to be driven by our cars, rather than having to drive them by ourselves, well, many in the industry predict that the first fully autonomous cars will be available on the market by 2020. They’re sure to have a hefty price tag though!

Driver Override Capabilities

Health Tracking

You might be reading this post now with a Fitbit or Apple Watch on your arm, tracking your vital statistics and monitoring your health, so it perhaps shouldn’t be all that surprising that companies like Ford are already working on creating health monitoring systems that will be built into the cars of 2020 and beyond. These include things like sensors built into seat belts, and which will be able to measure your body and even monitor your heart rate, taking wearable tech to a whole new level!

Head-Up Display Technology

Head-up display technology or active window displays as they are perhaps more commonly referred to are windshields which feature a transparent display which means that you can monitor your GPS system, check your cell phone and operate other tech without ever having to take your eyes off the road even for a second. If they can be tested and proved to be safe for use, they will be a major leap forward in in-car tech.
