What If You Have Had An Accident In One Of These Cars

While we have looked into the cars on today’s list and found that they are officially rated as some of the worst cars in the United States, it is not up to us to tell you where you stand legally.

If you feel that any of these cars have been responsible for causing you an injury, you should obviously contact a lawyer immediately. We would also encourage you to do a little more research into any of the cars we mention today, as you may find that there is more to the defects than we have detailed.

Hyundai Accent (2012 – 2017)

It seems that one of the most dangerous cars available today is the Hyundai Accent and, more than that, any of the sedan models from 2012 – 2017. It has been found that the figures are quite horrifying when it comes to the death rate of drivers.

On top of this, patterns were found that showed that the driver overlap safety was compromised to extremely high levels, and it was frequently reported that where the accident did not result in a fatality, it did result in injuries to the knees, hips and lower legs.

Taking all of this into account, you may wish to avoid the Accent sedan from these years, on the plus side, the 2018/2019 & 2020 models have been praised for the dramatic improvements to safety.

Kia Rio Sedan (2015)

When we first saw these figures, we found ourselves incredibly shocked. Over the years, Kia has been held in high regard for their safety features.

It seems that in 2015, Kia had the number one spot for the highest driver death rate in accidents in the Rio sedan. As you can imagine, this news didn’t sit well with Kia, and they went to extreme measures to improve their safety feature and now are considered to produce some of the safest cars on the road.

Chevrolet Spark

The final car we are going to look at is the Chevy Spark. It seems that any model pre-2016 is something that should be avoided by anybody in the market to buy a new car.

While the 2016 models plus have increased the safety feature, the pre-2016 figures show that just over 70% of all crashes involving a spark resulted in a fatality. It was eventually found that there was a huge vulnerability in the driver-side airbag.
