Why You Should Be An ‘Alfa’ Driver In The New Romeo Giulia

The new Alfa Romeo Giulia is shaping up to be the most beautiful and efficient car of 2017. If there’s one thing we should be thanking Italy for more than its beautiful cuisine, it’s this beautiful piece of machinery. We briefly touched on our first thoughts of this wonderful beast previously on the site, based on an initial drive, but it seemed only fitting that we gave a more thorough run-through of all the best features this car has to offer. Those of you out there who are on the fence about sitting behind the wheel of this amazing new model from Alfa Romeo definitely won’t doubt the Italian manufacturer after reading about all the great features it has to offer. Here are just a few of those features.

It’s the most ‘Alfa’ Alfa Romeo car in a long time.

What on earth does that mean? It means Alfa Romeo has had a few iffy attempts at special limited edition sports models over recent years, but this is the first one in a long time which has risen above mediocrity. Alfa Romeo really pushed themselves with this model to not only challenge Mercedes and BMW, but also to bring something new to the table. With the upper-range Quadrifoglio model, they’re boasting 505 horsepower, and that’s mind-boggling stuff.

It’s incredibly safe.

At the Euro NCAP, the Giulia received an incredibly high 98% as its adult occupant protection score for 2015 and 2016, which beat any other model. This was all thanks to its sturdy passenger compartment and anti-whiplash seating, which also earned it as a respectable 81% child occupant protection score. It’s looking to be one of the better sports cars of the year because it’s beautiful, sleek and stylish whilst also safe. Of course, accidents can befall even the best of drivers in the worst of situations, and you might want to look into legal help to recover from that on a personal or financial level if you do find yourself in a costly position with the Giulia.

Whilst safety scores of 69% for pedestrian protection and 60% for safety assistance are not quite as impressive, the Giulia is still one of the safest sports cars on the market in 2017, as its autonomous emergency braking and lane-departure warning systems make abundantly clear. This is a car which thinks for itself, meaning you’ll always have assistance with any situation on the road which seems unsafe. The Giulia gives even the BMW 3 Series a run for its money, which is a mighty claim in the current state of the auto industry.

It gives its rivals a run for their money.

I touched on this above, but it really has to be stressed again. The Alfa Romeo Giulia truly does challenge the mighty and seemingly untouchable BMW 3 and the Mercedes C-Class, for that matter. Alfa Romeo have really stepped up their game with this model, as they’re boasting lightweight aluminium bodywork just like their rivals along with their unique, individual bells and whistles mentioned above. Maybe we’re biased because we love this car, but there’s good reason for us to love it. It’s efficient, fun and safe. That’s everything you could want from a sports car.
